Microsoft Flight Simulator X

Microsoft Flight Simulator X is the newest title in the long-running Flight Simulator series and is due out late 2006.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) 2006 Official Trailer Video

We released this video to archive a piece of history.

This is the original and official second release (#2) trailer for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) which was originally released in 2006. As far as we aware Microsoft may have also used this trailer for a TV advertising campaign in the USA. It differs from the alternative first trailer released – the web trailer as we call it – as it seems to be designed for the general public rather than existing PC aviators.

This video has been upscaled to 4K using special AI (artificial intelligence) technology and is not simply a resolution change/upscale. It has also been converted to 60 FPS. While the upscaling is not perfect (as we all know AI isn’t perfect yet), it brings a piece of history back to life in a modern-resolution format.

This version is the original trailer which was released in 2006 by Microsoft. The newer Steam Edition trailer used by the Dovetail games re-release is pretty much the same as this one, however, they overlaid the “Steam Edition” logo over the top right corner of the video and changed the ending logo/title to match.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X was released in 2006 and has become quite possibly, the most well-known and most used flight simulator ever to come into existence. It still, even in 2020 has a very loyal fan base and is still available to purchase and use – even for new simmers.

It was re-released on Steam branded the “Steam Edition” in 2014 by Dovetail Games. However, back in 2019, Microsoft took back the franchise from Dovetail in preparation for its planned 2020 launch of the brand new Microsoft Flight Simulator (dubbed FS2020).

As mentioned above, Microsoft is releasing a brand-new sim in 2020. This groundbreaking sim brings MSFS back to your PC (and apparently Xbox) as you’ve never seen it before. You can read our coverage on MSFS 2020 here:

We’d love to hear your comments on your days of FSX in the comments section below. What made it special? Do you still use it? What do you see next for PC flight simulation?

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 – Realistic 767-400 Full Flight to Los Angeles in 4K

Here’s 4k footage of my full flight in the 767-400 from Paine Field in Washington to California’s Los Angeles International Airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The purpose of this flight is to test a combination of msfs 2020 mods that I hand made with other addons like the captain sim 767-400 to see if they are compatible with the current flight simulator 2020 update. There are a ton of issues with the simulator in its current state along with certain mods. Every time I load into the simulator there’s a new issue that I have to solve before Im able to fly or record.

Anyway… I hope you can enjoy

——-Realistic Displays————————————-
These aren’t what I used but they have what you need
-Realistic Displays: https://bit.ly/Real777Displays
You need to use one of the recent Salty mod dev versions for the displays to work. At the time of me typing this, the current public salty mod doesn’t work with the 767-400.
