Sand Point Naval Air Station
On this air station the revetments were stocked armaments to load onto war planes.
A revetment is a barricade
that provides shelter
against bomb fragments.
The Base Compass as shown in the 1944 map has been gone
since Magnuson Park was established. the area is now covered with
an athletic field.
